CHAPTER CLXIII.
An Act authorizing Joseph Hunter to emancipate a slavo.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the May eianci-
State of Tennessee, That the county court of Washington Pat 1t.
county, is hereby authorized and empowered, upon the ap-
plication of Joseph Hunter, executor of the last will and
testament of John Hunter, deceased, late of said county,
to emancipate a woman of color, nam,d Bot, a slave, the
property of the said John at the tirme of his death, accor-
ding to the terms and conditions expressed in said will:
Provided, the said executor enter into bond with approved-
security, to the chairman of the court, that she shall not
become a charge to any of the counties of this State, with-
out being required to remove her without the limits of the
State.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the county court of Dickson Dickson county
county, is hereby authorized and empowered, upon the pe- court ieay
tition of Samuel Smith, to emancipate a certain slave mancipate Jack
named Jack, the property of the said Smith, upon the said
Smith entering into bond and security, to be approved of
by the said court, that he shall not become a charge to any
county in this State, and also for his good behaviour, with-
out removing him without the limits of this State.

CHAPTER CLXIV.
An Act for the benefit of Eli A. Say.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ten-
nessee, That Eli A. Seay, of Williamson county, be, and
he is hereby, permitted to hawk and peddle in Rutherford
and Williamson counties, without obtaining license there-
for: Provided, he take an oath before some one justice of
