SEc. 2. Be it enacted, That the Treasurer of East George W.
Tennessee be and he is hereby authorized to pay to said Churchwel.
George IW. Churchwell the sum of one hundred dollars
for his services in said suit, and the receipt of the said
George W. Churchwell shall be sufficient voucher for
said Treasurer in the settlement of his accounts.
SEc. 3. Be it enacted, That the Ptesident and Direc- sam. *rurney.
tors of the Bank pay to Samuel Turney seVenty-five dol-
lars for his services-as attorney in behalf of the Bank in
a suit of John Jett and others, securities of the late En-
try Taker of' White county, against the said Bank and
others in the chancery court at .MMinnville.
SEC. 4. Be ite enacted, That the sum of seven hundred Pryor Le.
and fifty dollars be allowed Pryor Lea, agent for the
State,for his services as attorney for the State in super-
intending and defending for the State, the reservation
cases under the treaties.of 1817 and 1819, in which
suits have been commenced by reservees against the
purchasers and other assignees at the Hiwassee land
sales. And the Treasurer of East Tennessee is authori-
zed and required to pay to said Lea the aforesaid sum
out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appro-
priated. And said Treasurer is further required to pay
to the Secretary.of State the sum of fifty-three dollars
thirty-eight cents, the amount charged by said Secreta-
ry for his labotir in making out and supplying the above
named agent Pryor Lea, with a copy of the documents
and reports of Hugh L. White, late agent for the State,
up to the time of his resignation.
SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That the Treasurer of East H
Tennessee, be authorized and he is hereby required to
-pay to Hugh L. White, late agent for the Slate, the sum
of five hundred dollars for his services as attorney in at-
tending to reservation cases for the year 1831, out of any
money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
