AN ACT fUpplementary to an ad entitled An
aft for the regulating the town of Jonelbbrough,
and for ereting, building or repairing the court
tofe,-prifon and ftocks in faid town.
WiHEREAS doubts exila in the minds of the commiG-
9ners of (aid town of :Jone(borough, whether they,
by the aforefaid aq have a right to pafs any regulations for.
the government of faid town, wherefore,
Setion z. BE it enacled by the General Afembly of the
41tate of Tenn7efe, That it (hall and may be lawful for the
commillioners of the faid town of Jont (borough, or a board
there6f, and they are hereby authorifed to make any regu-
lations for the good order of the faid town, and the prefer-
vation of the health of the citizens as to them thall feem
beneficial.
Sec. 2. -Be it enale7d, That when the faid commilfioners
fhall have made any regulations for the better government
of faid town, it (ball be their duty to have them inferted'lr
the Walhington Advertifer, publilbed in the faid town of
Jonetborough, four weeks fuccellively, and put up a copy,
figned by the chairman and lecretary of faid, board, at the
court houre, and at all the public places in'faid town, to the
end that the citizens and all others concerned may be in.

Sec. 3. Be it ena'ed, That the commilioners or a board
thereof, thall have power. when any citizen or 'other perfon
