Sec. 2. 1Be it further enacted, That all laws and clatiies
of laws coming within the meaning and purview of this
act, be, and the same are hereby, repealed.

able to n  tax of 1 per cent., before delivering the same to partles on,
titled thereto.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the
Sate of North, Carolina, and it is herqby enacted by the
authority of the same, That whenever any executor or
administrator shall have in his or her hands, any slave or
slaves or other specific personal estate, liable to the tax of
one per centnn on the value thereof, imposed by the second
section of the aforesaid act, it shall be his and lh r duty, be-
fore delivering over said property to the parties entitled
thereto, to apply to the county courts of the county wherein
letters testanentary or of administration were granted, for
the appointment of three disinterested persons to assess thp
