pealed.

CHAP. LXIII.
An Act to alter the time of holding the Courts of Pleas and Quarter
Sessions for the county of Caswell.
Be it enacted by the General .qssemblU of the State of North Ca.
rnlina, and ii is hereby enacted by the authori y of the same, That the
Courts of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for the county of Caswell, shall
hereafter commence and be held on the first Monday after the fourth
Monday in March, June, September and December, in each and every
year; any law to the contrary notwithstanding
SEC. 2.  Ble it furiher enacted. rhat all process which has been or
hereafter shall or may be issued from the Courts or Pleas and Quarter
Sessions, returnable to the terms held on the second Monday after the
fourth in March, June, September and December, shall be returned to
the courts to be held as prescribed in this act.
SEc. S. Be itfurther enacted, That this shall be in force from and
after its passage.

CHAP. LXIV.
An Act to emancipate Henry. Finny and 'uhn, the slaves and children
of Miles Howard.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Slate of ANorth Car-
,olina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the samre, That Hen.
rv Howard, Fanny Howard and John Howard. children and slaves of
Miles Iloward, of HlalfaK county, at the special request of said Miles,
be, and they are hereby emancipated and qet free, and shall hereafter en-
joy all the privileges of free persons of color.
