He it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of
Persons ap- .Mrth-Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the akthiotityUof

An Act to repeal the forty-fourth section of an Act passed in the year
one thousand seven hundred and forty-one, entitled  An Act con-,
cerning Servants and Slaves.
Preamble.    Wlhrreas the forty-fiourth section of the act (f one
thousiind seven hundred and lorty-one, entitled  An act
concerning Servants and Slaves, is contrary to-good
policy and public expediency: therefore,
