SEc. 6. Be it further enacted, That every
white male person of the age of twenty-one
years and who shall have resided within the Qualifiation
limits of said town for ten days, shall be eli- * *'t'r'
gible to any of the offices herein provided,
and all such persons shall be qualified elec-
tors for the purpose of electing such offi-
cers.
SEc. 7. Be it further enacted, That no per-
son residing within the said town of Hickory,
shall, by virtue of this act be exempt from
working public roads or streets within the
limits of said town.
Sno. 8. Be it further enacted, That all fines
imposed by the justice of the peace of said
town shall be for the sole use and benefit
thereof, to be disposed of at the discretion of
the board of selectmen.
Sno. 9. Be it further enacted, That this
act shall take eflct and be in force from and
after its passage.

CHAPTER CCXXXVII.
AN ACT for the relief of E. MI. Yorgor.
WHERE As, John K. Yerger filed his affidavit
of the loss of Warrant No. 26, bearing date
the 17th May, 1865, for one hundred dollars,
on account of executed slaves; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature
of the State of Mississippi, That the Auditor
of Public Accounts be, and he is hereby au-
