ber, to be selected by the Governor, be ap-
pointed to visit Washington City, and wait
upon the President and Congress of the
United States, and urge upon their immediate
attention, the subjects mentioned in the Gov-
ernor's message, dated December1, 1865, and
in this report, and to ask, in the name of the
State of Mississippi, snuc action on the part
of the United States as may be deemed just
and proper.
Resolved further, That thb reasonable ex-
penses of such delegation should be paid;
and, for that purpose, the sum of eighteen
hundred dollars be, and the same is hereby
appropriated out of any moneys' in the State
'I'reasury not otherwise appropriated, and that
the Auditor of Public Accounts be directed
to issue a warrant for the same.
