LAWS . o. MISSISSIPPI.;
sacranental, or culinafty i)Urposes, thy having un-
doubted evidence that the said vinous. and intoxi-
cating. liuors shall be used for said purposes, and
subjected to the same: regulations now or hereafter
to be provided by law;: and any person offending
against the provisions of this act shall be liable to
indictment, and on conviction shall be subject to
the same penalty imposcd for retailinglsuch liquors
without a license; and this act shall take effect and
be in force from and alter its passage.

laws of this State applicable to the United States,
or the States and 'Ierritorics of the said United
States, siall hereafter Ihe demed and taken to ap-
ply to the Confederate tates of America, and tihe
States and Territories thercol, now existing or
hereafter to he enacted or admitted, in the same
manmer, and to tiesame extent, th1at m iid provisions
were intended to apply o the said United States
and Torritori.e. amid that the saie provisions shall
not hereafter apply to the said United States, or
the States or Torribries thereof, and that whdnever
in tile said laws the term United States occurs, the
same shall be understood and taken to mean the
Confederate States, and not the said United States,
in the same nmaluer as if the words Confederate
States had been used instead of tile words United
States  Provicled. that the printed statute laws of
the United States, and of the several States nud
Territories thercof. and copies 'of.recorded deeds
and other writings, and of the Land Office record ,
books and files, frointhe said United States, or thd
States or Territories thereof, or from the District
of Columbia, shall be admissible in evidence in tile
