CHAPTER I.
WifrmEAS, an ordinance entitled An ordinance
to* annd the Constitution of the State of Missis-
sippi in several particulars, adopted by the recent
State Convention, on. the 30th day of March, 1861,
was omitted to be published among the proceedings
aid- ordinances of the said Convention; therefore.
Rqsolved by the Legislature of the State of )is-
AsippI That the Secretary of State be directed
to cause a cipy of the above recited ordinances to
be published in the pamphlet laws of the present
session of the Legislature.

SECTIOx 1. Be it ordatnedby 'ithe peQple 0f the
State of lississippi, in Conventianu assembled, that
the OCstitution of the said State be amerided and
altered in the following partic&rs, to4i1.1- That,
the words ''the Confederate Statesof Atdeiika, be
inserted afte lth woid of  aid befdib t$hword
and in the third line of the first section of the
third article of said Constitution,
