SEC. 2. Be it further. enacted, That a tax of
twenty-five dollars upon each table be assessed and
collected as a state tax, and twenty-five dollars as
a county tax.
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That all laws
and parts of acts in contravention of this act shall
be and are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER CXIII.
AN ACIT for the relief of John Tindell of the county of Calhoun.
WHEREAS, It satisfact6rily appears to the legis-
lature of the State of Mississippi, that John Tin-
dell, a citizen of the county of Calhoun, in said
state, has expended in the way of rewards, besides
necessary expenses, the sum of five hundred dol-
lars, in bringing to justice J. H. Lester, N. B.
Monzy and Jerry Denton, for negro stealing; and
whereas, said Tindell had to sell the negro stolen
after reclaiming it, for the purpose of paying said
rewards, and for their prosecution and bringing
said Lester, Monzy and .Denton to trial in this
state; therefore,
SEC. 1. Be 1t enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Mississippi, That upon John Tindell filing
a receipt with the auditor of public accounts, for
the sum of five hundred dollars, in satisfaction of
his claim, the auditor of public accounts be, and
he is hereby authorized and required to issue a
warrant on the treasurer, for the said sum, payable
out of any monies in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act shall
take effect and be in force from and after its pass-
age.
