Strong, be and he is hereby authorized to make a
final settlement of his acts as guardian of said par-
ties, with the Probate Court of Warren county;
Provided, That said minors in writing requests that
said settlement be made; .And piovided further,
That said minors in writing ratify all the acts and
doings of the said guardian whilst acting as such.
SEc. 2. Be it furthcr enacted, That the ratifica-
tion in writing by said minors of the acts and do-
ings of their said guardian, or of his accounts as
such, or of any linal settlement which he may
make with the Probate Court of Warren county
of his acts and doings as guardian aforesaid, shall
be as binding upon said minors as if they were of
full age : Provided, That nothing in this act shall
prevent f1.u judge of said court from disallowing
any item in said account, or anything in said final
settlement he may deem improper to allow.
SEc. 3. Be it fuirther enacted, That this act shall
be in force and take effect from and after its pas-
sage.

CHAPTER LXIII.
AN ACT for the relief John N. Spears, Guardian for Elizabeth S. ffamm.
WHEREAs John N. Spears, of Lowndes county,
guardian for Elizabeth S. Hanm, did on the 1st
of January, 1856, sell a certain negro man
named Alfred, belonging to said ward, for the
sum of sixteen hundred and fifty-five dollars, and
it satisfactorily appearing that said sale was to
the interest and advantage of said ward, and
the law then in force did not authorize said sale;
therefore,
SEc. 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature oJ the
State of Mississippi, That the sale of said slave
be confirmed and legalized, and the said John N.
Spears, guardian for said Elizabeth S. Hamm, be
hereby authorized to make a bill of sale to Thomas
S. 13 Hughes, the purchaser at said sale, and to
