lected by him for levee taxes on lands in the coun-
ties of Bolivar and Washingtoh, shall be paid by
the State treasurer to the levee treasurer or collect-
or of the county in which the said lands are situa-
ted, upon the warrant of the auditor of public ac-
counts, which warrant the auditor shall issue to
the levee treasurer or collector on demand therefor.
SEc. 2. Be itfurther enacted, That this act shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CIIAPTER. 13.
AN ACT in relation to Chancery Courts.
Be it enacted by the Legislature oj the State of :lis-
slssippi, to wit:
SETIIION 1.
Organization and terns of Courls.
ARJCLE 1. Chancery courts shall be held in
each judicial distriCt of this State by the judge of
the circuit court of such district, at the same times
and places appointed, or hereafter to be appointed
by law for the holding of the circuit court of each
county respectively,and may continue for the length
of time allowed for the holding of said circuit court.
At least one wook of every term shall be given to
the business of the chancery court, if so long a time
shall be necessary; and the judge shall make a fiir
divisioln of the term between *tle business of the cir-
('cit court and the chancery court, in proportion to
the length of lte required by each.
SECTION II.
Jhrisdiction of the Court, and powers of the hudge.
ArT. 2. The said chancery courts shall have full iunection.
jurisdiction in all matters of equity, and of all mat-
ters properly cognizable in a court of equity, and
in such other cases as may be provided for by law;
*Provided, The amount or value of the thing in con-
troversy shall exceed lifty dollars; and may sustain
