CHAPTER 194.
AN ACT for the relief of William McBride, of the county of
Madison,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Lrgislature of
the State of Mississippi, That William McBride, of
the county of Madison, be and he is hereby author-
ized to sell and convey the real estate of his children,
William and Ann Eliza, at such time, and on such
terms, as he may doem most advantageous for their
interest, and invest the proceeds thereof in negro
property, or place the same at interest, upon bond
with good and sufficient sufficient security, as in his
judgment will best promote the interests of said
minor children.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That said William
McBride be and he is hereby authorized and em-
powered to make or cause to be made, to the put-
chaser or purchasers of said real estate, a deed or
deeds to the same, conveying such title as is vested
in such minor children.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, That before pro-
ceeding to sell said real estate, as provided for in
this act, said William McBride shall eXecute his
bond, payable as in case of guardians' bonds, with
good and sufficient security, to be approved by the
Probate Judge of said county, in a penalty equal to
the value of said real estate, conditioned for a faith-
ful performance of the trust reposed by this act;
which bond, approved as aforesaid, shall be filed for
record in the office of the clerk of Probate court of
said county, and may be put in suit, as is now pro-
vided for in case of guardians' bonds in this State.
SEc. 4. Be it furlther cnac!ed, That this act
be in force and take effect from and after its pas-
sage, and all laws against its provisions be and are
hereby repealed.
