performed, by the said sheriff by the laws of this
State.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the clerk of
the Circuit Court of said county shall hereafter
make out and keep in his office, an execution dock-
et, in which he shall note the date of all judg-
ments, executions, and venditio exponas, showing
the dates of their issuance and priority of satis-
faction, for which he may- charge in his bill of
costs fifty cents in each case, in addition to the fees
now allowed by law.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect and be in force from and after the
the first day of May next.

CHAPTER 247.
AN ACT to increase the per diem pay of the Board of Police
of Clarke county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Mississippi, That the per diem allowance
of the Board of Police of Clarke county shall be
three dollars for every day's attendance on the
Board.
SEc. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall not take effect until after the next general
election.

CHAPTER 248.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the town of Raymond, in the
county of Hinds.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of
the State of Mississippi, That the Board ot the
Mayor and Selectmen of the town of Raymond
shall have authority to keep the streets of said
town in order, by letting out the same to contrac-
tors, or by employing persons to superintend the
same, under   such regulations as said Board shall
establish, and it shall be lawful for them to levy a
tax on all persons, white persons, free negroes, and
