in favor of James R. Young, commissioner of the
sinking fund, upon a note made by D. W. Haley,
Burrus Haley, and John A. Hackett, on the twenty-
second day of September, eighteen hundred and
thirty-seven, for the said sum of twenty-four hun-
dred and twenty-three dollars, payable to the com-
missioner of the sinking fund, be, and the same is
hereby fully paid off and satisfied; and upon the
exhibition of the receipt or receipts of said commis-
sioner, or other person or persons who may hereaf-
ter be authorized to give the same to the clerk of
the circuit court, the said clerk is hereby authorized
and required to enter the same satisfied upon the
records of his office: Provided, That execution of
said judgment be only stayed until default made in
the payment of one of said instalments, or some por-
tion thereof; upon which default, execution may
issue forthwith upon said judgment, and the whole
amount of the same coerced out of the defendant:
And provided further, That the force and effect of
.said judgment and its lien upon the property of de-
fendant shall in no wise be altered or impaired by
said extension of time, or by any of the provisions
of this act.
SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act take
effect and be in force from and after its passage.
