CHAPTER 248.
AN ACT to authorize the removal of the slaves of the estate of
Thomas Hardeman, to the State of Tennessee.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Mississippi, That the administrator of the
estate of Thomas Hardeman be, and he is hereby
authorized to remove the slaves belonging to said
estate from the county of Madison in this State, to
the county of Williamson in the State of Tennessee.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted,, That this act shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved February 11th, 1846.
CHAPTER 249.
Al ACT relative to certain officers in Pike county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State of Mississippi, That the Judge of Probate,
the clerks of the several courts, sheriff, justices of
the peace and constables. of the county of Pike, be,
and.they are hereby authorized to. charge and re-
ceive the same fees for their services that they were
allowed by law before the passage of an act enti-.
tled an act to reduce the fees of certain officers
therein named, approved February 10th, 1844, ex-
cept in all cases wherein the State of Mississippi is
a party; or may be chargeable with said fees, in
which case, the fees shall be computed in accord-
ance. with the provisions of the above act.
