CHAPTER 69.
AN ACT to revive certain sections of the revised code in relation to
the introduction of slaves into this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Sections of
State of Mississippi, That the third, fourth, fifth, revised
code rc-
sixth and seventh sections of an act to reduce into vised.
one the several acts concerning slaves, free negroes
and mulattoes, passed June 18, 1822, and contained
in the revised code of the laws of this State, in chap-
ter seventy-three, be, and the same are hereby de-
clared to be in full ibrce from and after the passage
of this act; and all forfeitures and penalties recorded
under the provisions of the act revived by this act,
shall be paid into the county treasury of the county
in which the recovery may be had, for the use of
common schools.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That all laws and
parts of laws in conflict with, or inconsistent with
the provisions of the above sections, hereby declared
to be revived, be and the same are hereby repealed.
