CHAPTER 20.
AN ACT making certain appropriations therein named.
SECTION 1.. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the
State oj Mississippi, That the, following sums be
allpwed and paid out of any money in the treasury
not otherwise appropriated, viz:.
AftTICLrE 1. To various witnesses attending the
circuit court of Itawamba county, on change of ve-
nue from Pontotoc county, in the case of the
State vs. Wn. D. Nixon, upon the charge of mur-
der, for mileage and per diem in said case, viz:-To-
Elisha Loonay, sixteen dollars and eighty-seven
cents; to Irvin Collins, forty-seven dollars and se-
venty cents; to Henry Bardin, thirty-one dollars
and forty-six cents; to Elisha Nooner, forty-seven
dollars and twenty-seven cents; to David Meadon,
eighteen dollars and forty-four cents.
ART. 2. To William McAllister, deputy sheriff win Mc.
of Lawrence county, Tenn., for conveying fron Alister.
said Lawrence county, Tenn., to Tippah county, in
this State, one George W. McLann, charged with
felony, and expenses attending the same, the sum of
eighty dollars.-(A. D. 1842.)
ART. 3. T@ Samuel N. Pryor, sheriff of Tippah S.amuel N
county, for conveying William D. Nixon, charged Pr'or.
with murder', from Tippah county to Itawamba, at
April term of the circuit court in 1842, the sum of
sevcty-nine dollars in full of the account of said
Pryor for said services and the expenses atton'dant
thereto.
