CHAPTER 182.
AN ACT ror the relief of Vartin-S'avige, and for other purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the .Legislat zuA of the
State of Mississippi, That the board of police of the
county of Tishemingo be, and they are hereby au-
thorized to enter a release to Martin Sarage, tax
collector of said county, and his securities of the
thirty per cent. recovered of him by way of damages
as a defaulter for county taxes, and to make a full
and fair settlement with him, and enter a release
for such sum or sums as they may believe. he is
entitled to in equity and justIce.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act be in
force and take effect from'and after its passage.
Approved February 23, 1844.

AN ACT to amend an ac entitled an act tomake valid and con-
firm the last will and testament of William Wall, of Monroe
county, deceased, approved July 26, 1843..
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the L6gislatureo f
the State of Mississippi, That so much of the above
recited act as requires the executor in said will nam
ed, to give bond and security, conditioned that the
slaves therein named shall not return to the State.
