SEc. 2. Be it further enacted, That the-number -No, o

of trustrees shah hereafter be five only, who shall
be chosen from the present board of trustees, by
ballot, at their first meeting, after the passage of
this aet, and the said five trustees so chosen, shall
have all the powers, privileges, and franchises, Sc- and priv-
cured and granted to the trustees of the Natchez
Academy by - the original act of incorporation, and
shall hold meetings and elect officers as therein pro-
vided. but if such meetings and elections shall not
be held at the proper time, the corporate piowers
shall not be forfeited thereby, but the oflicers last
previously chosen, shall continue in office until
others are elected to succeed them.
Smc. 3. B it furlhrr enacted, That so much of
the third section of said act of incorporation, as ,gtl
provides for and requires the appointirient of anI ex-
ecutive committee be, and the same is hereby repeal-
ed.

shall take effect from and after its passage.
