CHAPTER 171.
A RESOLUTION requiring the Commissioners for the
sale of Town Lots, in the city of Jackson, to deliver
certain Notes to Juhn P. Oldham and J. J. Poin-
dexter.
SECTION 1. Be it resolved by the Legislature
of the State of Mississippi, That the Commis-
sioners for the sale of Iown Lots in the city
of Jackson, be, and they are hereby, required
to deliver to John P. Oldham. and J. J. Poin-
dexter, their several notes executed for the
purchase of Town Lots, No. 1, in square No.
8, south, in said city: Also, their notes exe-
cuted for Lot No. 8, in same square; the first
notes aforesaid for the aggregate sum of six hun-
dred dollars, and the last named notes for the
aggregate sum of six hundred and ten dollars.
Approved February 22, 1840.
CHAPTER 172.
AN ACT entitled an Act to authorise Abigal Du-
pree, Guardian, &c., to sell certain property.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Leaislature
of the State of Mississippi, That Abigal Du- Authorised
pree, of the county of Greene, Guardian of Te-ell prop,
lene and Caroline Dupree, minor heirs of Ster-
ling Dupree, deceased, be, and she is hereby,
authorised to sell at public auction, upon a
credit of twelve months, two Negro men, slaves,
the property of said minors, giving one month's
public notice of said sale by aavertising the same
