CHAPTER 108.
AN ACT to authorize Alexander M. Smylic to make Titles
to certain Lands and Slaves herein mentioned.
Authority,  SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the Legislature
&e. of the State of Missislippi, That Alexander Mc-
Cawley Smylie be, and he is hereby, authorized
and empowered to make and deliver good and
legal titles to a certain tract of land containing
three hundred and twenty-six 35 acres. and some
slaves, sold by his father, James Smylie, to Fre-
deric Stanton, of Natchez, in the beginning of
the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty-
four, so far as the said Alexander McCawley
Smylie's title extends, in as full, perfect, and
complete a manner, as if he were twenty-one
years of age.
w hen neto  SEc. 2.   hen  b it further enacted, That this
take eflect. act shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage.
Approved, February 9, 1839.

RESOLUTION relative to the old State-House and Pearl
Lodge No. 23, of Ancient York Masons.
