said special tax shall have been levied, the
assessor and collector of said county shall assess Duty of
and collect said special tax; and when said assessor
collector shall have collected said tax, he shall corcoi
pay over the same to the county treasurer of
said county, at the same time and under the
same penalties, and be allowed the same com-
pensation as is provided for the collector pay-
ing over of other county taxes.
§ 3. Be it further enacted, That the police Police of
court of Rankin county shall levy a special tax, Ran.ino
to defray the expense of building a jail for said
county.
§ 4. And be it further enacted, That this To ta1e
act shall be in force, and take effect, from and efrect.

AN ACT to incorpoate the town of Louisville, in Winston
county, and to repeal the act heretofore passed incorporating
said town.
§ 1. Be it enacted by the legislature of the state
of Jilississippi, That the act heretofore passed
incorporating the town of Louisville be, and Repeal.
the same is hereby repealed ; and that the cor-
porate limits of the town of Louisville shall
commence at the court house, running north
one-quarter of a mile; thence cast, half a
mile; thence south, half a mile; thence west,
one mile ; thence north, half a mile ; thehce
east, half a mile.
§ 2. Be it further enacted, That all the free  n
white male inhabitants, of said town, of the powers

age of twenty-one years, and upwards, beinglege.
