AN ACT to incorporate the town of Camden, in the
county of Neshoba, and for other purposes.
§ 1. Be it enacted by the legislature of the Town of
state of .Mississippi, That the town of Camden, incorpora-
in the county of INeshoba, be, and the same is ted.
hereby incorporated, within the limits of one
square mile from the centre of the court house,
extended with the cardinal points, half a mile
each way, and from the extremities, so as to
lie in a square with the out lines, north and
south, and east and west.
2. Be it further enacted, 'iThat Temple Election.
Tullis, Jonas .Bartram, Samuel B. Thompson,
Jesse Clement, and Isham Daniel, of said coun-
ty, or any two of them, are hereby authorized to
hold an election in said town, on ithe first Mon-
day in .July next, or within sixty days thereaf-
ter, for the purpose of electing lour selectien,
who shall be resident householders of said
town, and who shall hold their offices for one
year, and until their successors shall be duly
qualified.
§ 3. Be itfurher enacted, That the follow- Bounda-
ing limits, to wit:-Beginning at the south-west nes.
corner of township nine, of range ten, east;
thence east with the township line, twenty-four
miles; thence north to the township line, be-
tween townships twelve and thirteen; thence
west, with the last named township line, to the
northwest corner of township twelve, of range
ten, east; and thence south, with the range line,
to the beginning, which shall be the limits of Ne-
shoba county. That all the free white males voters.
over the age of twenty-one years, residing there-
in, shall be entitled to vote for selectmen at the
first election; and every year thereafter, the'
said selectmen shall be chosen by the free
white males over twenty-one years of age,
who have resided in said town three months,
