Wood, and his heirs and assigns, as against all
claims of the state of Mississippi, to the said
several tracts, or parcels of land, are hereby
fully and completely comfirmed, in a fee-simple
title thereto.

AN ACT for the relief of Robert Steen, assessor and collector of
taxes for the county of Rankin.
§ 1. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state Collector
of Mississippi, That Robert Steen, assessor and ram hisof-
collector of taxes for the county of Rankin, be, ficial liabi-
lities,  to
and he is hereby discharged from    all liabilities  ' what
as assessor and collector of taxes aforesaid, to amount.
the auditor of public accounts, to the amount of
his assessment on vendois of slaves, not at this
time collected.
( 2. Be it further enacted, That the auditor of Auditor to
