however, That the rates of toll shall not he less
than is now allowed ai the different ferries on said
Big Black river.
If bridge be .de-  SEC. 4. Aid be it firther enacted, That in case

ny shall not be compelled to rebuild said bridge,
but may keep a good ferry subject to the same tri-
bunals having jurisdiction over high ways, ferries,
and bridges.
renaoope -  SEc. 5. And be itfurther enacted, That if any
S1a S in  person shall forcibly pass the said toll bridge
without having paid the legal toll, such person
shall forfeit and pay the sum of five dollars for
each and every trespass so committed, to be recov-
ered before any justice of the peace in the county
where such offender shall be overtaken and found.
When to canli  SEC. 6. And be it farther enacted, That it shall
mpnce building he the duty of said company to commence said
bridge within one year after the passage of this
act, and to complete the same within three years
from and after the passage of this act, under the
penalty of forfeiting the privileges herein granted
to the said company.
SEC. 7. And be it Jhrther enacted, That the
powers, privileges, and immunities given by this
act shall be held, possessed, and enjoyed by said
company, their heirs and assigns, until the year
eighteen hundred and sixty.
