our hearts.
3. Resolved, That we will, with heart and hand,
sustain the President of the United States, in th6
full exercise of his legitimate powers, to restbre
 peace and harmony to our distracted country, and
to maintain, unsullied and unimpaired, the honor,
the independence and integrity of the Union.
4. Resolved, That the Governor of this State
be, and he is hereby required to transmit a copy of
the last resolutions, with the preamble, to our Spna-
tors and Representatives in Congress, also to the
Governors of the different States, with a request
that the same may be laid before their respective
Legislatures.

ItEPORT of the select committee on the resolution from the State
of Georgia relative.to the callof a convention of the States.
The committee to which was referred the com-
munication of the Executive, transmitting to this
House a resolution of the Seniate and louse of lie-
presentatives of the State of Georgia, making ap-
plication to the Congress ofthe United States, in
conformity .with the fifth article of the federal Con-
stitution, for the call of a Convention of the people
to amend the Constitution aforesaid, ip thp partic-
ulars therein enumerated, and in such others as the'
people of the other States deem needful of aiend-
ment; beg leave to report, that deeply impiressed
with the momentous importance of.the stbject re-
ferred to them, they pave bestowed on it their most
deliberate consideration; they are proud to avoy
