Militia of this State, and shall receive, as a come
pensation for the' various services required to be
performed by him,. an annual salary of two hun-
dred and fifty dollars; which shall be paid quarter-
ly out of the 'State Treasury.
Sec. 4. Be itfiiher enac'ted, That this act shall
take effect and be in force irnediately after its pas-
sage.

CHAP. LIX.
AN ACT to dispense with tIh time prescrhed by law for Join fth
Randolph of Wilkinson county, attaining the age of majority.
Be it enacted' by the Legislature of the State of
ll2ississippi, That Johiit H. Randolph, of the coun-
ty of Wilkinson, and now nineteen years of age, be
and he is hereby authorized, from and after the
time of the passage of this. act,, to manage anti con-
trol his own real and personal estate,. and to do and
perform all civil acts; which shall be as binding up-
on him ii law and equity as upon.ther individu-
als who have attained the age of twenty-one years.

Mississippi, That the County Court of 'Claiborne
county be, and they are hereby authorized to grant
a license to Mary Ann, a free woman of color,,to
