Sec.. 1. Be it enacted by tie Senate and House
of Rep resentatives of the State of dfssissippi, in
General Assembly convened, That Robert Turner,
executor of the last will, and testament of Wil-
liam I'obb, late, of' Jefferson County, deceased,,
shall have iower to sell. oi otherwise, dispose of
all or any part of the property, real or personal,
of his saidtestatory,, and invest the-money or mo-
neys arising.therefrom in the purehase of any pro.,
perty, real or personal, which he may think ex-
pedient,, receiving. the title for the game in the
name and for the only use of the heir's named by
said t stator in his said last will, or in the. name.

*   AN ACT to emancipate David Ganit, a person of colo.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
Representatives ofthe State ofMississippi, in Gene-
ral Assembly convened, That the negro man David
Gant, the property dthe heirs of Leonard Cbving-
ton, deceased, late of the county of Adams, be
and he is hereby emancipated and set free from
slavery, saving the rights of creditors; and on the
eondition that the said David, Gant chter introbohd
and-security, payable to the state: of 'Misi ssippi,
in the sum of one thousand lollars, to be approv-
ed of by the Judge of Pobate of the aforesaid
cou'nty, and filed in his ofice, conditioned for the
good behaviour of hini the aforesaid David Ga*
and that he shall not become a public charge.
APPROVED: February 2d, 1830.
