Directing the taking of the Cenfusof the Miffippi
Territory.
SECTION Ift. - BE it ena7ed    y the Legif-
lative Council and IIonfe of Reprefentatives ofthe
Minessipp  7erritory in General Afembly con.
vened, Thai it (ball be the duty of the affeffor
of taxes in each and every county within this
Territory, to claim of the heads of families and
other perions in their feveral counties, a true
and faithful eftimate of their refpedive tami.

to mike out and certify under their hands and
feals a fair lift of the number of inhabitants fo
given in to them, as aforefaid, or which niaf
comae to their knowledge, and return a copy
thereof to the Fxecutive, arid another to the
Speaker of the Houfe of Reprefentatives of this
Territory, on or before the firlt day of the next
teflion of the General Affernbly.
