AN ACT amendatory of an act entitled an act to incorporate the City of California, ap-
proved November 14th, A. D. 1867.

Be it enacted by the General .dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows:
§ 1. The second section of article first of the act entitled an act to
incorporate the city of California, approved November 14th, 1857, is
hereby amended to read as follows: The boundary of the corporate limits
of the city of California shall be as follows: Commencing sixteen rods
north of the north-east corner of the south-east quarter of section twenty-one,
township forty-five (45), range fifteen (15), thence west eighty-one (81) rods,
thence south seventy rods, thence west twenty (20) rods, thence south one
hundred and forty-eight (148) rods, thence west twenty (20) rods, thence
south sixty-seven (67) rods, thence east one hundred and twenty-one (121)
rods to the section line between section twenty-seven and twenty-eight,
thence north on the section line to the place of beginning.
§ 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed.
This act to be in force from its passage.
Approved February 19th, 1806.

Be it enacted by the General dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows:
§ 1. That part of section 1 in article 6 of the above entitled act
is amended after the words  dnd provided, further, and shall read as
follows: That upon the petition of a majority of the resident tax payers
on real estate within the corporate limits of the city for that purpose, the
