MISCELLANEOUS: ILLEGAL CLAIMS.
AN ACT to protect the State of Missouri against illegal claims.
# 1. Claims vs. E. M. M. to be presented to § 3. Quartermaster to give notice of passage

mission; how commission appoint-
ed.
Be it enacted by the General dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows:
§ 1. All claims against the State of Missouri, growing out of furnish-
ing supplies to E. M. M., and all claims of whatever kind, except pay
which may be or become due for services as soldiers or officers, shall be
presented to the Quartermaster General of the State, to be entered upon
his records, within six months from the passage of this act, and claims
which shall not be thus presented shall be invalid.
§ 2. All claims thus presented which are rejected by the Quartermas-
ter General, on account of informality, shall be referred to a commission
consisting of three persons, one of whom shall be the Quartermaster Gene-
ral, and the other two shall be appointed by the Governor, which commis-
sion shall pass upon the validity of such claims.
§ 3. That the Quartermaster General be required to give notice of the
passage of this act by publication in the papers. No claim of a person
who has been disloyal shall be allowed.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as fol-
lows:
1. An act entitled an act concerning the transportation of slaves, by
railroad companies, approved February 27, 1855, be and the same is here-
by repealed.
This act to take effect from and after its passage.
Approved February 6, 1864.
