AN ACT for the sale of certain slaves.
Be it enacted by the General .dssembly of the State of Mlissouri, as
follows:
§ 1. Charles W. Samuel, Guardian of Robert L. Samuel, is hereby an-
thorized and empowered to sell a negro man and woman belonging to said
minor, and apply the proceeds of such sale as is hereinafter directed.
§ 2. The sale of said negroes may be made publicly or privately. and
on such terms as the county court of Callaway county may by order direct.
§ 3. The money arising from the sale of said negroes shall be accounted
for by said guardian in his settlements with the court, and be managed and
disposed of as other monied assets of said ward.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved March 23, 1861.
AN ACT to authorize certain persons to attach themselves to adjoining school district
He it enacted by th  General .ssembly of the State of Aissouri, as
folluws :
§ 1. That F. W. Hulsey. Noah Enloe, Levi Stevens and James II.
Barnes, of Franklin county, Missouii, be and they are hereby authorized to
attach themselves to any school district that may be adjoining to the shool
districts in which said F. W. Hulsey, Noah Enlue, Levi Stevens, and James
11. Barnes now reside, for school purposes, upon eaci of them filing a pe-
tition to that effect -%ith the School Commissioner of said county of Franklin.
§ 2 All acts inconsistent with the foregoing are hereby repealed.
This act to take effect aid be in force from and after its paesage.

AN ACT to legalize the sale made by Anadab Ann, and Hester Alexander, Administrator
and Administratrix of the estate of James Alexander, deceased.
Be it enacted by the General .dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
fulluws :
§ 1. That the employment of Thomas Alexander as clerk of the sale of
the pioperty of James Aiexander, deceased, ani the acts of the said Thomas
Alexander, clerk of the sale of siid estate, is hereby legalized to the same
effect and extent as if the said Thomas Alexander had been of no likin to
the deceased.
This act to take effect from its passage.
