the purchase money, said trustee shall make to the purchaser a bill of sale,
conveying to him the legal and equitable interest and title in and to said
slaves.
§ 3. It shall be the duty of said court to cause said Lacy to file his bond,
with sufficient security, in double the appraised value of said slaves, for the
faithful management of the moneys arising from said sale, and for the pay-
ment of the same to the guardian or curator of the estate of said Mary Har-
ris, whenever said court may order the same to be done.
This act to take effect from and after the passage thereof.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That the guardian of John Alfred Moore, of the county of Calla-
way, is hereby authorized to sell at public auction, at the court house door in
said county, after twenty day's notice of such sale in some newspaper pub-
lished in said county, the slave belonging to the estate of said ward, and
account for and apply the proceeds of the sale of said slave in like manner
and with like offect as other moneys of said ward coming to the hands of said
guardian.
§ 2. Said slave shall be sold for cash in hand, or on time, at the dis-
cretion of said guardian, and if sold on time, the same to be fixed by said
guardian.
§ 3. Before such sale, the said slave shall be appraised in the manner
provided by law for the appraisement of property belonging to the estates, of
decedents, and shall not be sold for less than the appraised value.
This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
