AN ACT to amend an act entitled an act authorizing the sale of Certificates of Relocation
by Executors, Administrators, and Guardians, approved March twelfth, eighteen
hundred and fifty-nine.
1. Certificates of relocation may be sold, transferred, or assigned by executors, adminis-
trators, and guardians, under the direction of court having probate jurisdiction; such
sale, transfer, or assignment, how acknowleged and certified.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the S/ate of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That the above entitled act be so amended as to read : That in all
cases where the Surveyor-General shall issue a certificate of relocation, by
virtue of an act of .Congress, entitled  an act to provide for the location of
certain confirmed private land claims in the State of Missouri, and for other
purposes, approved the second day of June, eighteen hundred and fifty-
eight, it shall and may be lawful for the executor or administrator of any
person whose estate may be entitled to the benefit of said act, or the guar-
dian of any minor interested in said certificates, to sell, transfer, or assign,
either at public or private sale, said certificate, as said executor, adiruinistra-
tor, or guardian may think best for the interest of said decedent or minor:
Provided, That such sale shall be made under the direction and by order of
the court having probate jurisdiction ;.said assignment to be acknowledged
and certified to by some officer authorized by the laws of Missouri to take the
acknowledgment of deeds and conveyances.
This act to take effect from and after its passage.

Be it enacted by the General dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
.  follows :
§ 1. When slaves or real estate shall be taken in execution by any officer
in said circuit, it shall be his duty to expose the same to sale at the court
house door, on some day during the term of the Circuit court of the county
where the same is situated ; or if issued from the court of Common Pleas
of the city of Cape Girardeau, then during some day of the term of said
court, having previously given twenty days' notice of the time and place of
sale, what property to be sold, describing the same, and, if real estate,
where situated, by advertisement of at least six hand bills, signed by said
officer, and put up in public places in different parts of the county, unless
the defendant in the execution require it to be published in a newspaper, as
now required by law.
