four years for County Assessor, and every such election shall be conducted in
all things according to the laws regulating the election of other county officers.
§ 8. That the appointment off Assessors, and their duties as such, under
the provisions of this section, shall be governed in all things, as near as
may be, by the law to which this is an amendment, when the same does not
conflict with the provisions of this act.
§ 9. That section nineteen of the before recited act, approved December
thirteenth, eighteen hundred and fifty-five, be amended by adding after the
word  last, in the seventh line of said section, the following   and that
you have not removed any property beyond the district or State, for the
purpose of evading taxation, so help you God.
§ 10. It shall be the duty of the Secretary of State to forward to the
Clerk of each County Court, and the Clerk of the Board of Commissioners
for St. Louis county, immediately after the passage of this act, a true copy
of the same.
§ 11. None of the provisions of this act shall apply to the county of
Buchanan ; but the said county of Buchanan shall, in all respects, be gov-
erned by the law for levying, assessing, and collecting the revenue, approved
November 23, 1857.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

SALARY.
AN ACT to increase the Salary of the Judges of the Supreme Court.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That the Judges of the Supreme Court of this State shall receive
the sum of three thousand dollars per annum, salary.
§ 2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
