An Act to authorize William Ridgeway, of Boone county, to sell certain Slaves. 1858 132 (1858)

County Court of Miller county, conditioned for the faithful discharge of her
duties under this act, and for the faithful distribution of the proceeds of the
sale of said land among the heirs and legal representatives of the said Sims
Brockman, according to their respective rights therein.
§ 4. The said Rachel Brockman shall at the first tern of tho Miller
County Court after the sale of said land, make a report to said court of all
her proceedings herein, which report shall be accompanied by the certificate
of appraisal ; and if said report is appraved by the court, then said sale shall
be valid, but if said report be rejected, the said Rachel Brockman shall pro-
cood to resell said land, make another report as before stated, until the said
land shall be approved by said court.
§ 5. Upon the approval of said sale, and the payment of the purchase
money, the said Rachel Brockman shall make, execute, and deliver to the
purchaser or purchasers, a deed or deeds of conveyance, conveying to such
purchaser or purcliasers all the right, title, and interest of the said heirs
and legal representatives of the said Sims Brockian in and to said real es-
tate, as fully as if they were all competent to contract and convey for them-
selves, and as fully as if they had severally executed said deed or deeds.
§ (). The said Rachel 11lckman shall inediately upon the receipt of
the purciase iloney, or as soon thereafter as the County Court of' Miller
county shall be in session, report tosaid court that slit has before said court
said purchase money for distribution ; and the court shall then upliot proccett
to distribute said mooney amonig the lieirs all legal represeitative of said
.Sinis Urockman, according to their re:pective rights the-rein.
This act to take effect and he in force from and after its paisage.

S 1. That William Ridgoway, of the county of Boone, as trustee, is
herehy authorized to sell certain slaves, to wit: Luey and her boy child
George, the property of Mary A. Nevins and her children, Joel J. Nevins,
Jefferson I. Nevins, Robert G. Nevins, Uden G. Nevins, Lizzie G. Nevins
and Martha A. Nevins.
§ 2. Before said trustee shall proceed to sell said slaves, or either of
them, he shall cause the some to be appraised by three disinterested house-
holders of the county of Boone, and said slaves shall not be sold for less,
than their appraised value.
3. The said trustee may sell said slaves at public or private sale, for
