§ 1. Authorizes County Court to allow fees to Clerk.
Be it enacted by the General ./1ssenbly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
5 1. The County Court for the county of Marion is hereby authorized
and required to audit and allow to John P. Iutter, former Clerk of the
Circuit Court of said county, one-half the amount of all fees which legally
accrued against said county, to him, as Clerk of said Circuit Court, during
his term of office, and which have not been previously paid him for want
of form.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved October 29, 1857.
AN ACT for the relief of James M. Gatewood and others, of Pice county.
§ 1. County Court authorized to allow fees to Jailor, and for apprehending slave.
Be it enacted b  the General .ssembly of the State <f    Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. The County Court of the said county of Pike is hereby authorized
and empowered to audit and allow to James M. Gatewood, jailor of said
county, the amount of jail fees accruing to him from the confinement in
the jail of said county of a negro-man slave named Ben, in the year 1855;
and also to audit and pay to any other officers of said county the amount
of fees accruing from the discharge of their duties in the apprehension
and advertising of said slave.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
