age of twenty-one years, be, and lie is hereby authorized and empowered,
in law and equity, to contract and be contracted wtth; sue and be sued;
to acquire and hold any real or personal estate; and to sell or convey
any real or personal estate which he now owns, or which lie may hereafter
own or hold, in the same nianncr, and with like effect, as if lie, the said
Freeman D. Waters, were twenty-one years of age.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorize Doreas E. Simmons to convey certain property.
§ 1. Dorcas E. Simmons declared of lawful age,
WHEREAs, Osborn S. Simmons, deceased, by his last will, devised to his
daughter, Dorcas E. Simmons, a certain slave, upon condition that
she should convey her interest in certain real estate, and the said
Dorcas being a minor, about eighteen years of age, and desirous of
carrying into effect said will ; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Aissenbly of the State of Missouri, as
follows :
§ 1. That the said Dorcas E. Simmons, be, and is hereby declared to
be of lawful age, and authorized and empowered to sell and dispose of
said real estate and other property, in the same manner and with like
effect as if she were twenty-one years of age.
This act to take effect from its passage.
Approved November 17, 1857.
AN ACT to declare certain persons in Boone county of age.
Be it enacted by the General dssembly of the State of Missouri, as
follows:
§ 1. That Marquis L. and George W. Rice, and James Archibald
Stevenson, of Boone county, are hereby declared to be of full age, capable
in law of contracting, buying, selling and conveying any real or personal
estate, in the same manner and to the same effect as if they weil wenty-
one years of age.
This act to take effect from its passage.
