dred and thirty-three dollars and eighty-eight cents, an additional delin-
quent list for the year 185 , and the further sum of twelve dollars and
seventy-five cents, jail fees in the   case of the State of Missouri against
Win. Tooms, who was sentenced to the State Prison in the Platte county
circuit court, December term, 18G2, making the sum of one hundred and
forty-six dollars and sixty-three cents, to be allowed in the same way as if
such claims had been presented in the time prescribed by law.
Said bill to take effect from and after its passage.

§ 1. Released from certain fines and penal- I § 2. Allows certain free negroes to remain

WHEREAS, it appears that Richard Deshazo, of the county of St. Clair, in
the State of Missouri, did in the year 1850 permit a free negro wo-
man and her two children to come into this State with his negro man
slave, who is the husband of said negro woman, and father of her two
children; and whereas, the saia Deshazo was wholly ignorant of the
law prohibiting the introduction of free negroes into this State, in con-
sideration of the premises aforesaid,
Be it enacted by the General ./1ssembly of the State of .Missouri, as follows
§ 1.-That Richard Deshazo be and he is hereby fully released from
all fines and penalties that he may be liable or subject to under the law
prohibiting the introduction of free negroes.
§ 2.-.dnd be it further enacted, That said free negroes are hereby
permitted to remain in this State, Provided, the said Richard Deshazo
shall enter into bond as now required by law for the good behavior of said
negro woman and her two children.
This act to take effect and be in force from its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of the Sheriffs of Bates and Clark counties.
§ '1. Sheriffs of Bates and Clark counties allowed till first of June to return delinquent
land list.
Be it enacted by the General .A1ssembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1.-That the Sheriffs of Bates and Clark counties be and are hereby
allowed to the first day of June next to return the Bates and Clark coum-
ties delinquent land list for the year 1856.
This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
