§ 10.- For the purpose of carrying this act into. effect, Michael Arthur
is hereby made President, and Madison Miller, William Wymore, and
Greenup Bird, a Board of Directors for this Company, who shall organise
and conduct the business of said Company, and shall hold their offices until
their successors are duly elected, as provided by this act.
This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorize Mary Ann Campbell to sefl a certain negro slave.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1.- That Mary Ann Campbell, of Clay county, is hereby authorized
to sell, and transfer to the purchaser, a negro man slave named Stephen,
the joint property of herself and her infant children, William Campbell,
Abraham Campbell, Vincent Campbell, Mary Campbell, and George
Campbell; any law or laws to the contrary notwithstanding.
§ 2. - Said sale shall be made under the direction of the County Court
of Clay county, and shall be conducted in the same manner that sales of
real estate, by administrators, are directed to be made by the existing laws
of this State.
This act to take effect from its passage.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1.-That for. all the purposes of. incorporation under the provisions
of the eighth article of an act entitled, An act to provide for the organ-
ization, support, and government of common schools in the State of Mis-
souri, approved December 12, 1855, the town of Haynesville, in Clinton
county, shall be held to extend to and include section thirty, in township
fifty-four, of range thirty, in said county.
§ 2. -That the above recited act shall apply to said section thirty,
the same in every particular, as if the corporation limits of said town of
Haynesville extended to, and included.the whole of, said section; and the
