t 1. Ferdinand Hays released from criminal prosecution for certain acts.
Be it enacted by the General ./1ssembly of the State of Missouri, as follows:
§ 1. That Ferdinand Hays be and he is hereby released and dis-
charged from all criminal liability on account of his marriage with Mary
Gumberts, or with Cecilia, his present wife, formerly Cecilia Reed.
This act to be in force from and after its passage.
Approved January 27, 1851.
AN ACT for the relief of William E. McGuire.
§ 1. Auditor to draw warrant in favor of Win. E. McGuire; amount.
WHERFAS, it appears to the satisfaction of the general assembly, that
William E. McGuire, jailor of Cape Girardeau county is entitled
to the sum cf one hundlred and twenty-three dollars and fifty cents,
for keeping two runaway slaves in the years eighteen hundired and
forty-eight, and eighteen hundred fifty, in the jail of said county,
and for monies paid by him for advertising said slaves; Therefore:
Be it enacted by the General ./1ssenbly of the State of Missouri, as follows :
§ 1. The auditor of public accounts, is hereby authorized and re-
quired to draw his warrant on the treasurer of the state, in favor of said
William E. McGuire for the sum of one hundred and twenty.three dol-
lars and fifty cents, to be paid out of any monies in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, to be in full discharge of such claims.
§ 2. This act to take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
Approved February 27, 1851.
AN ACT for the relief of James M. Anderson, administrator of the
estate of Presley Anderson, deceased.
# 1. Deed made by clerk of county court of Crawford county conveying certain real estate
to James M. Anderson, declared legal and effectual.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State <f Missouri, asfollows:
§ 1. The deed of conveyance made and executed, by Lyle Singleton
as clerk of the county court of Crawford county, to James M. Ander-
son, administrator of the estate of Presley Anderson, deceased, convey-
ing to said James M. Anderson the right and title that Presley Ander- *
son at the time of his detau, had in and to the cast half of the north-east
quarter of section fouiteen, ini township thirty-seven, and range three
west, and the south-west quarter, of the north-east quarter of same sec-
tion, range and township, be and the same is hereby declared as legal
and effectual in law, as though the said James M. Anderson was not
