eighth and sixteenth districts shall cacli elect two senators at CHP. '

six ; the second, third, fifth, sixth, seventh, ninth, eleventh,
twelfth, thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, seventeenth, nine-
teenth, twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third, twenty-
fourth and twenty-sixnh districts, shall each be entitled to elect
one senator at the general election in the year eighteen
hundred and forty-six. The first, fourth, tenth, eighteenth,
twentieth, and twenty-seventh shall each be entitled to elect
one senator at the general election in the year eighteen
hundred and forty-eight.
This act to take effect from and after its passage.
