Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Alissouri, as follows.
i 1. That George Washington, a free nulatto, is hereby entitled to all the
privileges granted by an act entitled -an act concerning free negroes and
mulattoes, approved, March 14, IS15, without obtaining a license therefor
from the county couit of Macon county or any other county.
This act to take effect from and after its passage.

FREE NEGROES.
AN ACT to authorize Robert Blackbourne to emancipate a negro.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State oj Missouri, as follows:
§ 1. That Robert Blackbourne, of Callaway county, be and he is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to emancipa'e a certain negro man now belonging to
said Blackbourne, who calls his name, Ir Brunaugh, and by said act of oman.
cipation, said Brunaugh is to enjoy all the rights and privilegei that emancipa-
ted negroes now enjoy tinder the provisions of the general law now in force,
§ 2. Nothing in this act shall be so construed as to exempt said Blackbourne
from any of the liablities now imposed by lw.
This act shall take effect-and be in. force from and arter its passage

AN .ACT to authorise AMrs. Anna Rootes to bring a certain free nrgr-o child
to this State.
Mrs. Anna Rootes authorised to bring a certain free negro child to this State from Virginia.

WIIEREAS, Mrs. Anna Rootes is desirous of bringing to this'State, from Vir-
ginia, sundry slaves; and whereas. it is represented that there is an orphan
child, named Lucy, among them, who is free, aged about two and a half
years, and who is the grand child of one of the aforesaid slaves; and the
said Anna Rootes being desirous to take care of said orphan child, which is.
a female, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Slate of Alissouri, as follows:
§ 1. That the said Anna Rootes is hereby authorised and permitted to bring
said orphan child into this State, and said orphan child may remain it) thi4 State;
provided, said orphan child shall never be a charge upon any county in this
State for her support.
This act to take effect, and be in force from and after its passage.
