Chapter 19.
NEW FRANKLIN.
AN ACT to incorporate the town of New-Franklin.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General.ssembly of the State

the same is hereby erected into a corporate town by the
name of New. Franklin; and the inhabitants thereof shall
be, and are her-by constituted a body politic and corpor.

the town of New Franklin, and by that name, they and
their successors shall be known in law, have perpetual suc*
cession, sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, de-
fend and be defended, in nil the courts of law and equity,
and in all actions and matters whatsoever; may grant, pur.
chase, receive and hold property, real and personal, within
the said town; and may lease, rent, sell, or dispose of the
same,for the benefit ofeaid town; and may do all other
acts, as natural persons; may have a common seal, and
break and alter the~same at pleasure.
Sec. 2. Biit further enacted, That the corporate pow-
ers and duties hereby granted shall be vested in a board corporate poweo
