Assented to RESOLUTION requesting the Governor to direcb
Iuy'3,1si*.the Adjutant General to furnish the President
and Faculty of Washington College with seventy-
Cadet Muskets.
Resolved by the General Assembly of llarYland,
That the Governor be and he is hercby requested
to direct the Adjutant General of this State to
furnish to the President and Faculty of Washing-
ton College, seventy-five cadets' muskets and accou-
trements, including percussion caps, together with
twelve sergeants' swords and twelve lieutenants'
swords, fit for parade, ibr the use of said college.
NUMBER 7.
Assented to RESOLUTION appointing a Commissioner to the
May 7,1861.  Governor of Delaware in regard to the arming of
Free Negroes on the Maryland line.
Resolved by the General Assembly of far yland,
That John Al. Robinson, be, and he is hereby ap-
pointed a Commissioner on the part of the State of
M~aryland, to communicate immediately with His
Excellency, the Governor of Delaware, in regard
to the arming the free negroes of Delaware along
the Maryland line, and whether any arrangements
can be made, consistent with the laws of Delaware
and Maryland, calculated to allay the excitement
of our people along the Maryland lines,
