CHAP. 6.                CHAPTER         5.
Passed May AN ACT to amend Article twelve of the Code of
3, 1861.    Public General Laws relating to the payment of
specie by the Banks of this State.
Suspended-  SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the first, second, third, fourth,
fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth sections of Article-
twelve of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to Banks, be and the same are hereby sus-
pended.
Penalty..  SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no Corpora-
tion of this State, authorized to issue notes for cir-
culation, shall be subject to any forfeiture or penal-
ty for not redeeming such notes in specie before the
eleventh day of March, eighteen. hundred and six-
ty-two.
CHAPTER 6.

of Public Local Law, be amended by adding there-
to the following section, viz:
