CHAPTER 327.
Pawed far.,AN ACT amendatoryof an act passed at January
10,1856.
session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter
one hundred and fifty-three, entitled an act to in-
corporate the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad com-
pany.
Repeated.    SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General lssembly
of Maryland, That so muuch of the. act passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-three,
chapter one hundred and fifty-three, as provides that
if the said road shall not be commenced in six years
from the passage of the said act, and shall not be fin-
ished in four years from the commencement thereof,
then the said act. to be null and void, be and the
same is hereby repealed.
To be nulland  Src. 2. .1nd be it enacted, rhat if the railroad
void.     incorporated by the act to which this is amendatory
shall not be commenced on or before the tenth day
of March, eighteen hundred and sixty, and shall not
be finished in four years thereafter immediately suc-
ceeding, then the said act and the privileg.s therein
granted shall cease and be in all respects null and
void.
CHAPTER 328.
Pawed Mar. AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the
10,1856.     Government for the year ending on the first day of
J inuary, eighteen hundred and fifty eight.
Sums appro.  SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
priated.  of Maryland, That for the expenditure in the support
of the government 1hr the year ending on the first day
of January, eighteen hundred fifty eight, the following
sums of money, or so much thereof ai may be neces-
sary, be and the same is hereby appropriated, that is
to say: fbr the salary of the Governor of this State,
three thousand six hundred dollars; for the salary of
the Secretary of State, one thousand dollars; for the
