CHAPTER 271.
AN ACT for the relief of Susan Smallwood, a free Passed March
negro woman, of the District of Columbia.  1,
WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General Preamble.
Assembly of Maryland, that Susan Smallwood, (a
superannuated free negro woman,) of the District
of Columbia, is desirous of returning to this State,
and the descendants of those that liberated her are
anxious that she should do so, and are willing to
support her ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly  At liberty to
return to the

by at liberty to return to the State of Maryland, and
thereby b,  entitled to the same rights and privileges
as the free colored population are now entitled to un-
der the laws of this eltate.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall go 'ro ake effect.

AN ACT for the relief of David Marsh, of Carroll Passed Mar,
